U13 2012

This is the 450th post of the 2012 season, and the last one. This site has now been replaced by the 2013 U14 site.

And we end with the FIFA awards for 2012. FIFA has chosen Messi for the Golden Ball Award, and Stoch for the Puskas award. We had a contest open to our players on who could predict the winners. Nobody got it right for both awards, but there was a 3-way tie on the Golden Ball: Hunter, Gustavo and Francois got Messi right.

Happy 2013 to all our players and their families. May all your wishes come true, and many goals, victories, and fun on the fields.

This was the party in Santos, Brazil, where 1M people go to the beach at night. The fireworks are spread over the 10Km beach, released by vessels at sea, and synchronized in multiple locations. It's like Canada Day on Parliament Hill multiplied by 20.

2012 has come to an end. Here are the final team fitness stats.

In 2012 the team ran a very impressive 2,820Km team total. Congratulations, and big thanks, to all who submitted their runs. Fitness is of top importance to us, and running is a great way to do it.
